iHub- a Nairobi-based tech initiative that creates "vibrant and collaborative environment for innovators and startups in Kenya has partnered with the popular social microblogging/networking platform- Twitter to launch the #SmartCityNairobi challenge.

Developers will be a part of a hackathon to solve a problem using Twitter’s API with help from Twitter's Relation Team.

After the hackathon, 3 winning ideas will be entitled to $2,000 cash prizes,
Red membership at iHub and further develop the idea in a six weeks programme with mentorship from both organizer.

At the end of the programme, the winner will be awarded a cash prize of US$10,000, the second place with US$7,000 and US$5000 for the third developer.

The #SmartCityNairobi Challenge is scheduled to hold at Nairobi Tech Week , at Strathmore University dated 27- 30 April, 2016.
